The Clothing Cupboard provides patients in vulnerable situations with essential clothing items so they can leave the hospital with dignity and comfort.
It supports individuals in need of appropriate clothing and without support networks by supplying items like shoes, pants, and winter coats. This program also eases pressure on hospital services by aiding timely discharge.
The Layette Program
The Layette Program provides essential support to mothers and patients who lack family support or financial means by supplying newborn care items.
Packages include items such as clothing, blankets, diapers, and washcloths.
Toileties Program
The Toiletries Program supports patients who lack access to basic grooming and hygiene products during their hospital stay, which can sometimes be longer than anticipated.
Kits include items such as soap, shampoo, toothbrushes, and deodorant helping keep patient’s dignity and self-esteem intact.
Rehabilitation Centre Patient Support
Provides funding of last resort for urgent medical requests to support Rehabilitation Centre patients. Assistance is provided for needs that cannot be met through other funding sources.
Medical Equipment
As patients prepare for discharge, many require medical equipment to support their transition home. Equipment is available through the Auxiliary Shop, with support and special pricing options for patients in need.
Bursaries
Through an application process, nursing staff can receive annual bursaries to support further education. Funding is provided to assist with nursing studies.
Elianna Saidenberg Patient Urgent Needs Fund
The Auxiliary provides funding to support patients with urgent needs identified by Psychosocial Services. The fund helps cover essential requirements not otherwise accessible.
